An herbal tea, or tisane, differs from what is commonly known as tea in that it is an infusion of herbs from plant sources other than the leaves of the tea bush.

We are very proud of our line of teas as we believe they are effective, resonably priced, and even pleasant tasting.

Our teas are a gentle approach towards "helping your body help itself" through cleansing the body's primary filtering systems.* In contrast to non-herbal teas, such as black and green teas, our herbal detox teas are mild and contain no caffeine. Because these teas detoxify through acting as both a diuretic and a laxative, and thereby encourages the body to rid itself of waste products more rapidly, we encourage you to drink plenty of water to help flush the toxins out.

We suggest that you start slowly during the first few days you drink our herbal detox teas. Start out with only one cup of weak tea, and then slowly increase the amount and strength of the tea you drink. Everyone's body responds differently and if you drink too much too quickly you may find a need to visit the bathroom more often than you'd like. Detoxifying at the change of each season (4 times a year) will ready the body for the change not only of season but also the new foods that we eat.

Longevity Herbal Detox Teas are a great choice if you want to naturally cleanse your body internally. As well, our teas can be a comforting and relaxing end to a long day.

Why Detox?
The human body is constantly expending energy to expel various toxins and chemicals from itself. Many of these toxins are a byproduct of normal body functioning and our body has developed a very efficient means of doing this. The liver, kidneys, bladder, instestines, and colon all play important roles in this respect. However, in our culture today we are constantly exposed to an ever-increasing number of chemicals and environmental pollutants. These harmful chemicals can be found in the food we eat, the water we drink, and even the air we breathe. Over time these pollutants can buildup in the body's tissues and organs and eventually exceed the body's capacity to detoxify itself.

Use Caution
Start slowly when starting any new health regime. Herbs are very powerful supplementation. Use common sense always! If uncertain about usage or possible interactions with any drugs or supplements you are currently taking be sure to consult a health practitioner prior to use.
